In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy of INC won in this seat defeating Jupally Krishna Rao of TRS by a margin of 12,543 which was 7.21% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 46.36% in 2018 in this seat.
