In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Devi Reddy Sudheer Reddy of INC won in this seat defeating Muddagowni Ram Mohan Goud of TRS by a margin of 17,848 which was 7.3% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 46.65% in 2018 in this seat.
