In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, K Mahesh Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating T Ram Mohan Reddy of INC by a margin of 15,841 which was 9.03% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 47.6% in 2018 in this seat.
