In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr Shafiqur Rehman Barq of SP won in this seat defeating Parameshvar Lal Saini of BJP by a margin of 1,74,826 votes which was 14.77% of the total votes cast for the seat. SP had a vote share of 55.58% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Satyapal Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Shafiq- Ur Rahman Barq of SP by a margin of 5,174 votes which was 0.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 34.08% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Shafiqur Rahman Barq of BSP won this seat beating Iqbal Mehmood of SP by a margin of 13,464 votes which was 1.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 30.42% in the seat.
