In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Narayan Goswami of TMC won in this constituency beating Tanuja Chakraborty of BJP by a margin of 23532 votes which was 10.94% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Dhiman Roy of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Satyasebi Kar of CPIM by a margin of 22899 votes which was 11.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dhiman Roy of TMC won this seat defeating Satyasebi Kar of CPIM by a margin of 27692 votes which was 16.24% of the total votes polled for the seat.
