In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Abhedananda Thander of TMC won in this constituency beating Kalita Maji of BJP by a margin of 11815 votes which was 5.55% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Abhedananda Thander of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Basudev Mete of CPIM by a margin of 6252 votes which was 3.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Basudev Mete of CPIM won this seat defeating Chanchal Kumar Mondal of INC by a margin of 23096 votes which was 13.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
