In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Niladri Sekhar Dana of BJP won in this constituency beating Sayantika Banerjee of TMC by a margin of 1468 votes which was 0.69% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Daripa Shampa of INC was the winner in this seat beating Minati Misra of TMC by a margin of 1029 votes which was 0.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Kashinath Mishra of TMC won this seat defeating Pratip Mukherjee of CPIM by a margin of 29090 votes which was 16.9% of the total votes polled for the seat.
