Barjora Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Bankura district in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. Bhaktabandh, Gangajalghati, Gobindadham, Kapista, Nityanandapur and Piraboni GPs of CDB Gangajalghati and 2. CDB Barjora

This constituency covers an approximate area of 532 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Barjora is: 23°22'35.0"N 87°13'38.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 87.25%, while it was 86.49% in 2016, and 86.97% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Alok Mukherjee of TMC won in this constituency beating Supriti Chatterjee of BJP by a margin of 3269 votes which was 1.52% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sujit Chakraborty of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating Soham Chakraborty of TMC by a margin of 616 votes which was 0.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Asutosh Mukherjee of TMC won this seat defeating Susmita Biswas of CPIM by a margin of 8491 votes which was 4.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.
