This constituency covers an approximate area of 177 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Bhangore is: 22°32'25.8"N 88°33'24.5"E.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Md Nawsad Siddique of RSMP won in this constituency beating Karim Rezaul of TMC by a margin of 26151 votes which was 10.94% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Abdur Razzak Molla of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Abdur Rasid Gazi of CPIM by a margin of 18124 votes which was 8.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Badal Jamadar of CPIM won this seat defeating Arabul Islam of TMC by a margin of 5106 votes which was 2.95% of the total votes polled for the seat.
