In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Subodh Adhikary of TMC won in this constituency beating Subhranshu Roy of BJP by a margin of 13347 votes which was 9.68% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Subhranshu Roy of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dr. Rabindra Nath Mukherjee of CPIM by a margin of 47954 votes which was 38.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Subhranshu Roy of TMC won this seat defeating Dr. Nirjharini Chakraborty of CPIM by a margin of 12612 votes which was 9.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
