In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Tanmay Ghosh (Bumba) of BJP won in this constituency beating Archita Bid of TMC by a margin of 11420 votes which was 6.07% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya of INC was the winner in this seat beating Shyamaprasad Mukherjee of TMC by a margin of 891 votes which was 0.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee of TMC won this seat defeating Ghosh Swapan of CPIM by a margin of 9857 votes which was 2.97% of the total votes polled for the seat.
