Bairampur, Chauberia-I, Chauberia-II, Dighari, Kalupur and Palla GPs of CDB Bangaon 2. Chandpara, Dooma, Fulsara, Jaleswar-II, Jhaudanga and Ramnagar GPs of CDB Gaighata

This constituency covers an approximate area of 264 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Bongaon Dakshin is: 22°59'27.2"N 88°47'08.2"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 83.05%, while it was 83.46% in 2016, and 86.38% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Swapan Majumder of BJP won in this constituency beating Alo Rani Sarkar of TMC by a margin of 2004 votes which was 0.97% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Surajit Kumar Biswas of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Ramendranath Audhya of CPIM by a margin of 26904 votes which was 14.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Surajit Kumar Biswas of TMC won this seat defeating Anuj Baran Sarkar of CPIM by a margin of 21889 votes which was 13.41% of the total votes polled for the seat.
