In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Satyanarayan Mukhopadhyay of BJP won in this constituency beating Subasish Batabyal of TMC by a margin of 7164 votes which was 3.71% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Dhirendra Nath Layek of RSP was the winner in this seat beating Subhasis Batabyal of TMC by a margin of 2417 votes which was 1.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Subhasis Batabyal of TMC won this seat defeating Anath Bandhu Mondal of RSP by a margin of 7764 votes which was 5.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.
