In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Bikram Chandra Pradhan of TMC won in this constituency beating Saktipada Nayak of BJP by a margin of 623 votes which was 0.32% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Bikram Chandra Pradhan of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Sisir Kumar Patra of CPI by a margin of 29260 votes which was 16.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Arun Mohapatra of CPI won this seat defeating Shaibal Giri of TMC by a margin of 4650 votes which was 2.9% of the total votes polled for the seat.
