In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Biswanath Karak of BJP won in this constituency beating Manas Majumdar of TMC by a margin of 4147 votes which was 1.91% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Manas Majumdar of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Biswanath Karak of AIFB by a margin of 30886 votes which was 15.56% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Karak Biswanath of AIFB won this seat defeating Debasish Medda of INC by a margin of 4265 votes which was 2.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
