In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Tapasi Mondal of BJP won in this constituency beating Swapan Naskar of TMC by a margin of 15008 votes which was 6.84% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Tapasi Mondal of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating Madhurima Mandal of TMC by a margin of 21493 votes which was 10.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Seuli Saha of TMC won this seat defeating Nityananda Bera. of CPIM by a margin of 11924 votes which was 6.83% of the total votes polled for the seat.
