In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Satyajit Barman of TMC won in this constituency beating Chandima Roy of BJP by a margin of 27215 votes which was 12.31% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Debendra Nath Roy of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating Sabita Kshetry of TMC by a margin of 13136 votes which was 6.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Khageneraldra Nath Sinha of CPIM won this seat defeating Shekhar Chandra Roy of TMC by a margin of 35704 votes which was 22.71% of the total votes polled for the seat.
