Indas Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Bankura district in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. CDB Indus 2. Balsi-I, Balsi-II, Biur betur, Jamkuri and Kushdwip GPs of CDB Patrasayer and 3. Laugram, Madanmohanpur GPs of CDB Kotulpur

This constituency covers an approximate area of 480 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Indas is: 23°07'14.2"N 87°35'33.4"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 89.36%, while it was 90.06% in 2016, and 92.57% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Nirmal Kumar Dhara of BJP won in this constituency beating Runu Mete of TMC by a margin of 7220 votes which was 3.35% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Gurupada Mete of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dilip Kumar Malik of CPIM by a margin of 18837 votes which was 9.55% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Gurupada Mete of TMC won this seat defeating Santanu Kumar Bora of CPIM by a margin of 4005 votes which was 2.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
