Arabinda, Bahadur, Boalmari Nandanpur, Garalbari, Kharia, Kharija Berubari-I, Kharija Berubari-II, Mondalghat, Nagar Berubari and South Berubari GPs of CDB Jalpaiguri

This constituency covers an approximate area of 362 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Jalpaiguri is: 26°27'04.0"N 88°42'35.6"E.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Dr Pradip Kumar Barma of TMC won in this constituency beating Soujit Singha (Piku) of BJP by a margin of 941 votes which was 0.42% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sukhbilas Barma of INC was the winner in this seat beating Dharttimohan Roy of TMC by a margin of 5157 votes which was 2.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sukhbilas Barma of INC won this seat defeating Gobinda Chandra Roy of AIFB by a margin of 11051 votes which was 6.23% of the total votes polled for the seat.
