In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Bishal Lama of BJP won in this constituency beating Passang Lama of TMC by a margin of 28576 votes which was 14.77% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Wilson Champramary of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Bishal Lama of BJP by a margin of 1511 votes which was 0.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Wilson Champramary of IND won this seat defeating Binay Bhusan Kerketta of RSP by a margin of 7245 votes which was 4.69% of the total votes polled for the seat.
