In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Ruden Sada Lepcha of IND won in this constituency beating Suva Pradhan of BJP by a margin of 3870 votes which was 2.53% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sarita Rai of GOJAM was the winner in this seat beating Harka Bahadur Chettri of IND by a margin of 11431 votes which was 8.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri of GOJAM won this seat defeating Prakash Dahal of GNLF by a margin of 101675 votes which was 81.41% of the total votes polled for the seat.
