In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Deboprasad Bag (Poltu) of TMC won in this constituency beating Biswajit Kundu of BJP by a margin of 7478 votes which was 3.62% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Kundu Biswajit of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Sukul Chandra Sikdar of CPIM by a margin of 25261 votes which was 13.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Kundu Biswajit of TMC won this seat defeating Sukul Chandra Sikdar of CPIM by a margin of 12637 votes which was 7.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
