In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Arup Kumar Das of BJP won in this constituency beating Jyotirmoy Kar of TMC by a margin of 10293 votes which was 5.31% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Adhikari Dibyendu of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Uttam Pradhan of CPI by a margin of 33890 votes which was 19.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Adhikari Dibyendu of TMC won this seat defeating Uttam Pradhan of CPI by a margin of 28637 votes which was 18.82% of the total votes polled for the seat.
