In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sumita Sinha of BJP won in this constituency beating Tarun Kumar Jana of TMC by a margin of 9330 votes which was 4.11% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Banasri Maity of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Chakradhar Maikap of CPIM by a margin of 18576 votes which was 8.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Banasri Maity of TMC won this seat defeating Chakradhar Maikap of CPIM by a margin of 7955 votes which was 4.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
