In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Goutam Paul of TMC won in this constituency beating Subhas Chandra Sinha of BJP by a margin of 36626 votes which was 17.38% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Manodeb Sinha of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Gokul Roy of AIFB by a margin of 3232 votes which was 1.74% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Gokul Roy of AIFB won this seat defeating Subhas Goswami of INC by a margin of 5778 votes which was 3.85% of the total votes polled for the seat.
