In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Atin Ghosh of TMC won in this constituency beating Sibaji Sinha Roy of BJP by a margin of 35390 votes which was 26.55% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Mala Saha of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Kaninika Bose (Ghosh) of CPIM by a margin of 25810 votes which was 18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Mala Saha of TMC won this seat defeating Kaninika Ghosh (Bose) of CPIM by a margin of 40284 votes which was 28.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
