This constituency covers an approximate area of 471 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Keshiary is: 22°03'24.5"N 87°15'01.1"E.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Paresh Murmu of TMC won in this constituency beating Sonali Murmu Soren of BJP by a margin of 15330 votes which was 7.3% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Paresh Murmu of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Biram Mandi of CPIM by a margin of 40749 votes which was 20.98% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Biram Mandi of CPIM won this seat defeating Shyam Charan Mandi of TMC by a margin of 1037 votes which was 0.62% of the total votes polled for the seat.
