In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Seuli Saha of TMC won in this constituency beating Pritish Ranjan Kuar of BJP by a margin of 20720 votes which was 9.13% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Seuli Saha of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Rameswar Doloi of CPIM by a margin of 101151 votes which was 49.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rameswar Doloi of CPIM won this seat defeating Rajani Kanta Doloi of INC by a margin of 33842 votes which was 18.75% of the total votes polled for the seat.
