In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya of BJP won in this constituency beating Pradip Sarkar of TMC by a margin of 3771 votes which was 2.23% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Dilip Kumar Ghosh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Gyan Singh Sohanpal of INC by a margin of 6309 votes which was 4.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Gyan Singh Sohanpal of INC won this seat defeating Anil Kumar Das of CPIM by a margin of 32369 votes which was 23.63% of the total votes polled for the seat.
