Gorabari Margaret’s Hope, Lower Sonada-I, Lower Sonada- II, Munda Kothi and Upper Sonada GPs of CDB Jorebunglow Sukiapokhri 2. CDB Mirik, 3. Mirik (NA), 4. CDB Kurseong, 5. Kurseong (M) 6. (i) Sitong Forest (Village), (ii) Sivok Hill Forest (Village), (iii) Sivok Forest (Village) in Champasari GP of CDB Matigara and 7. CDB Rangli Rangliot

This constituency covers an approximate area of 702 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Kurseong is: 26°54'37.4"N 88°19'12.0"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 73.93%, while it was 72.89% in 2016, and 78.42% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Bishnu Prasad Sharma of BJP won in this constituency beating Tshering Lama of IND by a margin of 15515 votes which was 8.96% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rohit Sharma of GOJAM was the winner in this seat beating Shanta Chhetri of TMC by a margin of 33726 votes which was 20.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rohit Sharma of GOJAM won this seat defeating Pemu Chhetri of GNLF by a margin of 93096 votes which was 60.28% of the total votes polled for the seat.
