In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Bulu Chik Baraik of TMC won in this constituency beating Mahesh Bagey of BJP by a margin of 5465 votes which was 2.62% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Bulu Chik Baraik of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Augustus Kerketta of CPIM by a margin of 18462 votes which was 9.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Bulu Chik Baraik of CPIM won this seat defeating Hiramon Oraon of INC by a margin of 4216 votes which was 2.7% of the total votes polled for the seat.
