In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sadhan Pande of TMC won in this constituency beating Kalyan Chaubey of BJP by a margin of 20238 votes which was 15.38% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sadhan Pande of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Rajib Majumder of CPIM by a margin of 25311 votes which was 17.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sadhan Pande of TMC won this seat defeating Rupa Bagchi of CPIM by a margin of 36550 votes which was 24.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
