In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Kaushik Roy of BJP won in this constituency beating Manoj Roy of TMC by a margin of 11911 votes which was 5.11% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Ananta Deb Adhikari of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Chhaya Dey (Roy) of RSP by a margin of 34907 votes which was 16.56% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Ananta Deb Adhikari of RSP won this seat defeating Juthika Roy Basunia of TMC by a margin of 16276 votes which was 9.34% of the total votes polled for the seat.
