Metiaburuz Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of South 24 Parganas district in the South East Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. Ward Nos.136 to 141 of Kolkata M. Corp. and 2. Ward Nos. 1 to 7, 9 and 10 of Maheshtala (M)

This constituency covers an approximate area of 21 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Metiaburuz is: 22°32'14.3"N 88°15'37.4"E.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Abdul Khaleque Molla of TMC won in this constituency beating Ramjit Prasad of BJP by a margin of 119604 votes which was 61.79% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Abdul Khaleque Molla of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Monirul Islam of CPIM by a margin of 17976 votes which was 11.21% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Mamtaj Begam of TMC won this seat defeating Badruddoza Molla of CPIM by a margin of 6594 votes which was 4.98% of the total votes polled for the seat.
