In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Phiroja Bibi of TMC won in this constituency beating Sintu Senapati of BJP by a margin of 8889 votes which was 3.82% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Phiroja Bibi of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Chittaranjan Dasthakur of CPI by a margin of 3145 votes which was 1.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Omar Ali of TMC won this seat defeating Nirmal Kumar Bera of CPI by a margin of 9140 votes which was 4.89% of the total votes polled for the seat.
