In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Nadiar Chand Bouri of BJP won in this constituency beating Umapada Bauri of TMC by a margin of 4007 votes which was 2.1% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Umapada Bauri of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dinanath Bauri of CPIM by a margin of 13878 votes which was 7.83% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Umapada Bauri of INC won this seat defeating Dipak Bauri of CPIM by a margin of 586 votes which was 0.4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
