In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Durga Murmu of BJP won in this constituency beating Chhotan Kisku of TMC by a margin of 27711 votes which was 13.52% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sunil Chandra Tirkey of INC was the winner in this seat beating Carolus Lakra of TMC by a margin of 7074 votes which was 3.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sunil Chandra Tirkey of INC won this seat defeating Kisku Chhotan of CPIM by a margin of 2237 votes which was 1.55% of the total votes polled for the seat.
