In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sudip Kumar Mukherjee of BJP won in this constituency beating Sujoy Banerjee of TMC by a margin of 7018 votes which was 3.44% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sudip Kumar Mukherjee of INC was the winner in this seat beating Dibyajyoti Prasad Singh Deo of TMC by a margin of 4911 votes which was 2.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, K.P. Singh Deo of TMC won this seat defeating Kaushik Mazumdar of CPIM by a margin of 26487 votes which was 17.13% of the total votes polled for the seat.
