Rajganj Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Jalpaiguri district in the North Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. Binnaguri, Kukurjan, Majhiali, Mantadari, Panikauri, Sannyasikata, Sikarpur and Sukhani GPs of CDB Rajganj. 2. Baropatia Nutanabos Belakoba, Paharpur and Patkata GPs of CDB Jalpaiguri.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 563 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Rajganj is: 26°37'45.8"N 88°34'11.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 88.11%, while it was 90.01% in 2016, and 89.71% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Khageswar Roy of TMC won in this constituency beating Supen Roy of BJP by a margin of 15773 votes which was 7.42% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Khageswar Roy of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Satyendra Nath Mondal of CPIM by a margin of 14677 votes which was 7.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Khageswar Roy of TMC won this seat defeating Amulya Kumar Roy of CPIM by a margin of 7020 votes which was 4.39% of the total votes polled for the seat.
