In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Mukut Mani Adhikari of BJP won in this constituency beating Barnali Dey Roy of TMC by a margin of 16515 votes which was 6.88% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rama Biswas of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating Abir Ranjan Biswas of TMC by a margin of 17253 votes which was 7.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Abir Ranjan Biswas of TMC won this seat defeating Aloke Kumar Das of CPIM by a margin of 19608 votes which was 10.1% of the total votes polled for the seat.
