In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Jyotsna Mandi of TMC won in this constituency beating Kshudiram Tudu of BJP by a margin of 3939 votes which was 1.9% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Jyotsna Mandi of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Deblina Hembram of CPIM by a margin of 23313 votes which was 12.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Debalina Hembram of CPIM won this seat defeating Falguni Hembram of TMC by a margin of 6859 votes which was 4.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.
