In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Subrata Saha of TMC won in this constituency beating Khatun Mafuja of BJP by a margin of 50206 votes which was 27.12% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Subrata Saha of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Aminul Islam of INC by a margin of 5214 votes which was 3.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Subrata Saha of TMC won this seat defeating Ismail Sekh of CPIM by a margin of 4574 votes which was 3.18% of the total votes polled for the seat.
