Saltora Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Bankura district in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. CDB Saltora, 2. CDB Mejhia, 3. Banasuria, Barashal, Lachhmanpur and Latiaboni GPs of CDB Gangajalghati

This constituency covers an approximate area of 671 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Saltora is: 23°30'40.0"N 87°02'43.8"E.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Chandana Bauri of BJP won in this constituency beating Sontosh Kumar Mondal of TMC by a margin of 4145 votes which was 2.08% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Swapan Bouri of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Sasthi Charan Bouri of CPIM by a margin of 12523 votes which was 6.81% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Swapan Bouri of TMC won this seat defeating Sasthi Charan Bauri of CPIM by a margin of 12697 votes which was 7.78% of the total votes polled for the seat.
