Suri Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Birbhum district in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. CDB Suri-I, 2. Suri (M)., 3. CDB Rajnagar and 4. Chinpai, Gohaliara, Parulia and Sahapur GPs of CDB Dubrajpur

This constituency covers an approximate area of 505 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Suri is: 23°54'33.5"N 87°24'53.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 79.85%, while it was 83.62% in 2016, and 86.01% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Bikash Roychoudhury of TMC won in this constituency beating Jagannath Chattopadhyay of BJP by a margin of 7320 votes which was 3.38% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Asok Kumar Chattopadhyay of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dr. Ram Chandra Dome of CPIM by a margin of 31808 votes which was 16.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Swapan Kanti Ghosh of TMC won this seat defeating Abdul Gaffar of CPIM by a margin of 19117 votes which was 11.17% of the total votes polled for the seat.
