This constituency covers an approximate area of 815.47 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 20°04'05.2"N 72°52'04.4"E.

A total of two Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Dahanu constituency, which are: Palghar, Vikramgad. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Valsad district of Gujarat.

Voter turnout

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this Maharashtra constituency was 72.50%. In 2019, this seat registered a turnout of 60.96%, while it was 66.13% in 2014 and 55.98% in 2009. The estimated turnout in 2024 was -11.54% compared to the 2019 turnout.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Nikole Vinod Bhiva of CPIM won in this constituency beating Dhanare Paskal Janya of BJP by a margin of 4,742 votes which was 02.86% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dhanare Paskal Janya of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Mangat Barkya Vansha of CPM by a margin of 16,700 votes which was 10.78% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ozare Rajaram Nathu of CPM won this seat defeating Ghoda Krishna Arjun of NCP by a margin of 16,180 votes which was 12.23% of the total votes polled for the seat.
