In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Vikramsinh Balasaheb Sawant of INC won in this constituency beating Jagtap Vilasrao Narayan of BJP by a margin of 34,379 votes which was 19.60% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jagtap Vilasrav Narayan of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Vikramshinh Sawant of INC by a margin of 17,698 votes which was 10.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Prakash (Anna) Shivajirao Shendage of BJP won this seat defeating Jagtap Vilasrao Narayan of NCP by a margin of 4,667 votes which was 3.16% of the total votes polled for the seat.
