In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Dr Nitin Raut of INC won in this constituency beating Dr Milind Mane of BJP by a margin of 20,593 votes which was 10.52% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Milind Mane of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Kishore Uttamrao Gajbhiye Ias (R) of BSP by a margin of 13,718 votes which was 7.55% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dr Nitin Raut of INC won this seat defeating Tambe Rajesh of BJP by a margin of 17,862 votes which was 11.53% of the total votes polled for the seat.
