In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Dr Kinikar Balaji Pralhad of SS won in this constituency beating Rohit Chandrakant Salve of INC by a margin of 29,124 votes which was 21.75% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Balaji Kinikar of SS was the winner in this seat beating Wankhede Rajesh Devendra of BJP by a margin of 2,041 votes which was 1.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dr Balaji Kinikar of SS won this seat defeating Tapase Mahesh Bharat of NCP by a margin of 19,979 votes which was 17.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
