A total of six Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Dindo constituency, which are: Igatpuri, Devlali, Nashik East, Niphad, Chandvad, Kalwan. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Valsad district of Gujarat.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Zirwal Narhari Sitaram of NCP won in this constituency beating Bhaskar Gopal Gavit of SS by a margin of 60,542 votes which was 28.94% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Zirwal Narhari Sitaram of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Dhanraj Haribhau Mahale of SS by a margin of 12,633 votes which was 6.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Mahale Dhanraj Haribhau of SS won this seat defeating Zirwal Narhari Sitaram of NCP by a margin of 149 votes which was 0.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
