This constituency covers an approximate area of 548.21 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 16°59'31.6"N 74°22'16.7"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Jayant Rajaram Patil of NCP won in this constituency beating Nishikant Prakash Bhosale- Patil (Dada) of IND by a margin of 71,317 votes which was 35.66% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jayant Rajaram Patil of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Abhijit Shivajirao Patil of IND by a margin of 75,186 votes which was 41.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jayant Rajaram Patil of NCP won this seat defeating Vaibhav Nagnath Naikawadi of IND by a margin of 54,508 votes which was 31.82% of the total votes polled for the seat.
